Brittany Rigsby graduated magna cum laude from Samford University School of Nursing with a Master of Science in Nursing. Brittany has received specialized training in dermatology and has been providing a wide range of dermatological services to patients for over nine years. She has applied her extensive training and experience to examining, diagnosing, treating and prescribing the most appropriate treatments for patients of all ages. She performs procedures such as biopsy, cryotherapy and chemical peels.
Brittany is nationally certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center and is licensed by the Alabama Board of Nursing. She is a member of the Nurse Practitioner Society of the Dermatology Nurses’ Association. Brittany has participated in research studies for the treatment of Psoriasis and Actinic Keratoses (pre-cancers).
Brittany resides in Hoover, Alabama with her husband and two boys. Her husband is a Lieutenant with the Hoover Fire Department.
NPs must complete a master’s or doctoral degree program, and have advanced clinical training beyond their initial professional registered nurse preparation. Didactic and clinical courses prepare nurses with specialized knowledge and clinical competency to practice in primary care, acute care and long-term health care settings.
