Fraxel® DUAL
Fraxel® is a wonderful treatment that can remove years from your appearance. It uses safe, non-invasive fractional laser technology to improve or eliminate skin damage such as wrinkles, sun spots, and other signs of aging. Treatment with Fraxel® can correct severe skin damage, resurface damaged skin, or prevent the signs of aging.
This treatment can safely treat men and women of any age and any skin color. Fraxel® is backed by extensive research, is FDA-cleared, and has demonstrated its effectiveness through more than a decade of successful treatments.
Fraxel® treatment provides both progressive and immediate results. Within a few days of treatment, your skin will show a more even tone, look brighter, and feel softer. The results will continue to improve over the next three to six months and can last for several years, depending on your skin condition and age.
A non-invasive treatment for aging, scarring, and stretch marks
Our Fraxel® DUAL system gives patients an advantage when correcting skin conditions such as stretch marks and scarring. This device combines the 1550nm laser of the Fraxel® restores with a 1927nm laser. This combination of wavelengths leads to a number of skin benefits without being abrasive.
Fraxel® uses microscopic columns of laser energy to treat only a fraction of the tissue at a time, leaving the surrounding area intact. This allows swift healing and triggers the natural healing processes of the body to replace damaged or old cells with new, healthy, fresh, glowing skin.
Fraxel® treatment is effective for:
- Wrinkles and fine lines such as brow lines and crow’s feet
- Surface scars such as those from acne
- Healing dangerous UV skin damage
- Minimizing excessive pigmentation such as age spots also called sun spots

The number of treatments, and length of the sessions, will be determined by the condition, location, and size of the treatment area, as well as the desired outcome. Results are typically achieved in three to six sessions, with treatment time ranging from 20 minutes to over an hour. Depending on the level of treatment, you may experience some swelling or redness after treatment. This will diminish quickly within the day or few days following treatment. The more aggressive Fraxel® re:pair treatment is ablative, and therefore involves some downtime, however, results are seen after just one treatment.
The entire concept of fractional laser resurfacing is based on the treatment of small areas of skin with narrow beams of energy. The skin around the treated areas is left fully intact but improved through the accelerated healing process. Fractional laser resurfacing results in the replacement of damaged skin with healthy, new skin cells. Underneath the surface layer, skin cells are remodeled with collagen, leading to long-lasting results.
Our skin is susceptible to a number of factors, with stretch marks a risk at any age. These marks appear when growth has occurred more quickly than the skin can handle. Stretch marks are commonly associated with pregnancy, although they may also occur with weight gain or growth spurts. When the skin has been stretched beyond its capacity, damage occurs to the supporting tissues, leaving behind clear, pink, or white markings.
